Knowledge Transfer Program

PML initiated its “Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP)” in the interest of complete and smooth transition of knowledge across all the employees.

There are two programs devised for the same purpose.

1. This is essentially a forum where one presenter will be identified amongst the employees on voluntary basis, with a topic to present. The presenter will have to identify himself/herself, at least a week before. The presenter will prepare presentation material & hand-outs for the audience and distribute the same to all the employees of the day of their presentation. The presentation session is divided into two halves, where the first half is for the present the material and the second half is for the presenter to answer the questions that may come up from up all the employees.

The main purpose of this forum to pass on the knowledge that presenter possess on the required skills for the job to other employees. This knowledge transfer will help prevent re-inventing the wheel all over again by any other employee in terms of their efforts to research the same knowledge that might be required for their work.This also helps in improving the communication and the presentation skills by each presenter. Our management monitors the participation by each employee and the presenter’s performance, which consider

• To suggest improvements
• Suitably consider their performance for evaluation at the time of reviewing their performance. This forum is chaired by our COO.

2. There is also a need based Knowledge Transfer Program initiated by our Quality Department, which identifies the need to have knowledge transfer at employee level and conducts such programs within small groups of employees, where the duration of such programs is totally dependant on the kind of knowledge transfer that were required.

We maintain a common repository of all the materials that were presented through this forum, which could be accessed by any employee at point of time.
