Manufacturer’s/Gem Stone Trader’s Version.
This product using unique Image Processing Technique, can
identity each stone by its characteristics such size, color, shape,
texture pattern etc. This product helps in adding images of different
possible stones (differs by its different characteristics) into database as
different stone master records, as a one-time activity. During this exercise,
each stone image along with information on characteristics gets added to
database against a unique id.
Subsequently, any stone that need to be
identified when placed inside the Image Processing Box, the software captures
an image and does intelligent image processing by which the
relevant/corresponding stone information from the database is retrieved
that matches the characteristics of the stone placed inside the box. This
helps stone sorting department of any Gem Stone Dealer/trader or a Jewelry
Manufacturer in a great zeal. We are also in the process of working out a
mechanical conveyer belt sorter, which can automatically take stones to
relevant pockets/chamber based on the characteristics identified through
software.
The "manufacturer's version" of this software could be
used by "Gem Stone Processing" Units, where they would have different
processes to arrive at a final cut and finished stone.
Retailer’s
Version
The latest designs are available on-line in the form a
gallery/catalogue by any retailer to sell their products efficiently,
even if the physical may not be available in the outlet. Customers, who
walk into any "retail" outlet can browse themselves through the various
designs of their choice with a help of touch-sensitive monitors.
Customers can also look up designs that best fit their budgets too. If
design chosen by any customer will not be physically available at the outlet,
no sweat! Customers can give a photo shot of the relevant profile of their
body (either face up to bust) or the hands. This software can integrate their
profile photos with the designs chosen by them and give customer a feel of how
the chosen designs look on them, be it Necklace, Ear Rings, Rings or Bangles.
This virtual feel of designs (although it is just 2D) on customers is a great
feature from the point of view retailers, not losing their customers just
because they are unable to impress any customer in the absence of a physical
piece at the outlet.
We are working on the Sales Promotions and on the
regular POS functions with an integration of daily sales by each POS to its
Head Quarters.
