Precious CAD has been developed in C++ with the background graphics engine being the ACIS Solid Modeler licensed from Spatial Corp. USA. The entire program uses solid modeling techniques with a 10e-6 precision. Under the works is a dynamic deformable modeler, being designed specifically for the jewel artist, that will enable the user to manipulate the solid models just as a potter manipulates wet clay. The end result would be an extremely fast, powerful and robust CAD program.
